the Julbock has a long history....
in Gävle in sweden, they still make a hugemonugs goat annually, which someomne burns down. it is a huge european betting event as to wether or not the goat survives. i think the last time it did was 1997.

i first came across it in my sersearch, it is interesting how some elements of the pagan roots of most of northern europe were displaced, and others amalgamated, or kept intact.

i'm talking about the swedesh burning straw goat, the Julbock (which is what the image i linked is related to)!

i scour the internet for an image of a burning goat (something which, admittedly was harder to find than i expected) and all i get is a wohoo?

that at least rates a raise the roof!
