Got Game?
okay, so 10 large and a 4 day on-site week aint something to exactly sneeze at. But you know you *hate* it there, and you've told me enough times you have no way of advancing in that spot. Ten grand, though, once you get to *net*, aint enough I don't think to keep you in that kind of misery for the next year.

I will just say that I envy you the fantastic position you're in. The only hitng I'd say is to decide if you'd be happy staying where you are, or if you want a change. Personally, working for the Met sounds fabulous.

i do too
i am really torn about this - the money/benefits pays out nicely if i stay, but i have more upwards mobility at the MET...

Re: i do too
go with the job that will let you maintain your current (or gladly livable) standard of living whilst also being the one that makes you HAPPIEST.

though i could be tempted to say otherwise, theres more to it than the $... you gotta have a job that really gets you up in the morning, you know? my recent job switch taught me this...

my .02 ;)

Re: i do too
there is indeed a fine line, as as salt-n-peppa said, both are very necessary.

but the older i get, the more i enjoy the quality over the $.

yeah, i hear that
the idea of being able to set my life back to a 0 balance again though, sooner, is v. appealing to me.

B, have you expressed your dismay at no upward mobility? Maybe a simple job title change or shifting of roles?

It's definately a fine line to walk

They met your terms? Holy crap... Well, now you've just got to consider whether one job or the other will be better for you in the long run, mentally and emotionally speaking...
