last night

I was having a conversation with someone I had just met (in person) and we were talking about the new Fatboy Slim albulm. I hadn't heard it yet. Today? Lo, my internet radio reminds me to go find it.

This song is pretty good. I like Fatboy Slim.

ADB (that is an All Drunkards Bulletin) - next Wednesday, there will be a scouting run for a new home for Loco night. Details have yet to be firmed up re: location, but consider this a heads up, and an open forum for suggestions if you got 'em.

My current list of maybes?
Trailer Park
Pianos
DallasBBQ
Off the Wagon
Boxcar
Sidewalk Cafe a la murnkay
Puck Fair a la lengjade

Thoughts? Opinions? Funny stories?

EDIT: My funny story? Apparently I am an "athletic" cut for suits. I wear a 52 L/XL, but apaprently everyone who has a shoudlerline like mine is a horribly fat bastard, since the gd pants' waists were all 46-48 at that shoulder width. To get pants that fit my waist? I needed an athletic cut. Go fig - first time in my life someone ever told me I have a small waist.

I love trailer park but it's a little bit small- no real good sitting/lounging area except for that tiny patio in the front. Good bar food though. One of the top 3 hangovers i ever suffered through at work came after a night there.

DBQ is also a fun time but my grand vision, nay, my dream for LOCO night is of a dark bar like asylum or FBPC where you can do dark and dastardly deeds. DBQ is too restaurantey for that.

Never been to the other three places although the boyfriend of one of my co-workers frequently does shows at Pianos.

well
DBBQ is def resturanty, but thier texan sized drinks are great bang for the buck. I understand the clamor for dark and loungey. I think Asylum can probably work into the rotation eventually, but I think we need to get a lineup of options to prevent things from getting stale.

I am very keen on Trailer Park. Sidewalk Cafe looks promising too.

fty
FBPC lost my patronage forever on G's b-day. Not to say I don't like thier lounge area, but enforced ratios and fuckhead bouncers don't get my patronage.

Re: fty
i can understand that, totally. I'm not saying that FBPC is a great bar (staff attitude does suck), or we should go back there, but a smililar-vibed place might be good.

I thought we were also boycotting ass-sylum because of the douchebag bartender who cut wangch61 off and acted like a total dick to him even after the hundreds and hundreds of dollars he'd brought in through LOCO night.

i don't like pianos, there are too many hipsters.

hm
ok, good to know.
you realize though, if you hit a hipster in the face with some acid and got them a mask, thier emo-angst would probably make them a manageable faxcimile to fulfill your phantasies.

hipsters don't know how to eat pussy. they like to think they do, cause they're all "oh i am so full of emotion and compassion, look at me, i'm artsy-fartsy and i'll treat your vagina like a flower." but then they get down there and they're so intimidated that they stare at it in horror then lose their erection.

wow
so i am seasonably fasionable without knwoing it, eh?

there will be a round two, no worries. with the number of bars in this city, i think there will need to be a few test runs before we settle on a roost or two.
