this one won't come with a pink armband

i just got a bump in my dell preferred gold account. after having tech lust flashes while setting up my bro's new lappy, i decided to actually get myself something for my birthday this year. while Dell's APY is fucking obnoxious, I don't think I will pay on their terms, particularly once I sell the old lappy. this should get here at/on my b-day.

Anyone want an Inspiron 8200? 15" LCD, pimped out ram (768 meg), 1.6 GhZ, 60 gig HD. DVD player and a CDR and Floppy (all modular), media kit for TV hookup. Winxp Pro & Office 2k3, Onboard NIC/sound, and I'll even throw in a PCMCI Wireless-B card, and whatever software you need with the puppy. starting at 700$, but i am negotiable. more details by request.

Hmmm...
In that case, nevermind. I'll let someone who has cash /now/ buy it. ^-~

Indeed I did
But remember that I am a college student. It will take me a while to come up with $700 beyond my usual college (read: design supplies) expenses. I'll start saving, and if you still have it when I've got the money, or when I get close, I'll get back to you, ne?

Does it come w/ a full, life-time bernie support contract? Cause that might be worth $700 just by itself...

I need one also...
But I'd totally have to figure out how to scramble the cash. I need to get *something* decent to be able to take to school with me for Thesis.

like i said above
i'm not running this out the door. if you can work somehting out i'll definitely throw it your way. if it does go before then, i can help you out getting something useable (if you need the help, that is). i get a decent discount through work - do you need more than word processing?

Re: like i said above
ooohyeah.

I need to be able to run pshop, and autoCAD-- simultaneously.(that's like a primary concern) Word processing, 3d Studio Max. Form Z. Maya. Lightwave.

In short? I need a 3-d engine.

Word processing is the least of my problems.

wow
then you would need my machine + a coule hundred bucks in upgrade (max ram, newer HD)

i can do photoshop and a dreamweaver + web browser and word processing (and chat) simul without a dogout, but i have a feeling cad is a bit more than dreamweaver + the others in terms of strength.

for what you are talking, the kind of laptop i just got is ideal, but like 3+g. you should scope out their financing options. if your credit history is not in the sewer, you should be able to break it down for like 80$ a month if you can make the minimums, probably with no interest. i get a 2-12% discount (depending on the options) if you want me to mail you a cart.

Re: wow
I had found one a while ago, that I wanted... Not a dell. I'd have to look it up again. It was PERFECT for what I needed- but it was also $3500 bucks. :(

Let me see if I can dig it up again and show you. I know Alienware makes one that's the same specs, but more money.

yeah
specwise there are def other people than dell out there, but in terms of financing, they are usually only going to take a CC. dell's app is online, and takes about 5 minues to run through, at which point you know exactly how much you _can_ spend, and if you are wasting your time. the inspiron 17 series with a dual core, 2gig of ram, and a 256 nvidia will do your job for you - but, like i said, priceyy.
